Vice President for Administration and Finance
Cottey College invites applications and nominations for the
position of vice president for administration and finance. The
College seeks a financial leader and communicator with excellent
strategic, technical, and critical thinking skills in addition to
personal qualities of integrity, accessibility, and commitment to
the College community. The vice president provides sound, creative
financial direction to the College, based on established
institutional values and strategic planning priorities while
serving as a change leader, relationship builder, and steward of
the institution's human, financial, and physical assets. This
individual works actively and collaboratively with other
executives, students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to
achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Now in its 128th year, Cottey College is a liberal arts college
for women which awards associate and selected baccalaureate
degrees. The College is strong financially with an endowment
approaching $90 million, no debt, and no deferred maintenance on
its beautiful facilities and campus.
Under the general direction of the President, the vice president
serves as a senior administrator on campus and oversees the
physical plant, food service, human resources, information
technology, mail and print services, bookstore, and the business
office. Qualified candidates must possess a master's degree in
business administration or related field and seven years'
progressive experience in higher education management or related
job experience. Preference given to private higher education
experience.

Physics
Cottey College, a leading private liberal arts college for women, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for an adjunct faculty member to teach Introduction to Physics and General Physics I and II, for the 2013-2014 academic year. We are looking for an individual who is able to teach Introduction to Physics and the calculus-based Physics course sequence, including lecture and lab sections for these courses. Introduction to Physics and General Physics I would be offered during the fall semester, August 26, 2013, through December 19, 2013. Introduction to Physics and General Physics II would be offered during the spring semester, January 13, 2014, through May 15, 2014. Semester stipends for teaching these courses would be $6,000 each semester. Assistance with travel costs may be available, depending on commuting distance. Counselor
Cottey College is seeking to fill the position of counselor. The
qualified applicant will possess a master's degree and Missouri
licensure in counseling, psychology, or social work.
Responsibilities include providing short-term therapy to
individuals and groups, crisis intervention, and program
development. Preference will be given to qualified individuals with
a minimum of two years experience providing therapy to adolescents
and adults in a clinical setting. This is a full-time, nine-month
