Cottey College students will celebrate the end of the academic year with a picnic and a performance by Haeley Vaughn at B.I.L. Hill and Lodge on Friday, May 5. The picnic will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the performance following immediately after.
Haeley Vaughn is on her way to becoming country-pop’s next darling with a genuine optimism and enthusiasm for singing that cannot be deterred. From singing in church and school choirs, it was clear that Vaughn was born for the spotlight. At 16, the summer before her junior year in high school, she tried out for Season 9 of American Idol, where she became an immediate judge and fan favorite. During the last round of American Idol’s Hollywood Week, Vaughn moved on to the season’s live shows and finished as one of the Top 10 females of the overall Top 20.
Tickets for the meal are $7 per person. The performance is free.
B.I.L. Hill is located at the end of South College Street above Radio Springs Park.
