The Cottey College Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Severiano “Seve” Smith as the new golf coach for the Comets.
Smith is a graduate of Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) where he was a member of the MSSU golf team for four years. He also serves as the assistant golf professional at the Carthage Golf Course. Smith brings an extensive knowledge of golf, a large regional network in the golf community, and a passion for the game and for coaching.
“I’m excited to be here at Cottey and part of the women’s golf program,” said Smith. “We have some promising young women who we are currently looking at and have already signed for the program. The future looks bright.”
