Poet Sha’Condria “iCon” Sibley Performs Feb. 21

Slam poet Sha’Condria “iCon” Sibley will perform on campus on Wednesday, February 21, at 8 p.m. in Raney Dining Room.

Sha’Condria “iCon” Sibley is a national championship poet and multi-disciplinary teaching artist. Her slam accomplishments include becoming the first woman and non-Texan to ever win Texas Grand Slam and currently ranking as the #3 female poet in the world. A founding member of Team Slam New Orleans, she helped the team win multiple regional and national titles. iCon made her national television debut on the third season of TV One’s Verses and Flow. Her work has been featured on many national and international outlets such as Upworthy, Huffington Post, Marie Claire, Teen Vogue, and BET.

Tickets for Sha’Condria “iCon” Sibley are $5 for adults and $4 for those over age 62 or under age 18. Tickets will be available at the door the evening of the performance.

Raney Dining Room is located in the lower level of Robertson Hall on the southeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri. Parking is available in the lot immediately behind Robertson Hall which is accessible off of Tower Street.
