Vanessa McNeal to Speak on “Victim to Victor” Jan. 23

Nationally recognized speaker Vanessa McNeal will speak on the topic Victim to Victor at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, in the Missouri Recital Hall on the Cottey College campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Vanessa McNeal, MSW, is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, national speaker, and two-time TEDx speaker. She travels and speaks nationally on how to confront adversity with grace using her personal story as a vehicle to inspire and empower others. Vanessa is a survivor of sexual violence and has used her personal experiences as a vehicle to create social change through storytelling and filmmaking. She is currently directing a documentary focused on highlighting buyers of sex trafficking (called Gridshock).

Due to the subject matter of this address, the presentation is most appropriate for those age 16 years and up.

The Recital Hall is inside the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri.
