Date Posted: February 6, 2019 Author: Steve Reed

Rain Dove, an androgynous/agender model, will speak at Cottey College on Wednesday, February 20, at 8 p.m. in Raney Dining Room.

Rain Dove, who prefers the personal pronoun they, has appeared in W, Vogue, Buzzfeed, Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmo, Harper’s Bazaar, Mashable, People, and many more. They have created several viral campaigns, including a lingerie shoot challenging Victoria’s Secret beauty standards, that reached over 35 countries. They are known not just as a pretty face, but also as a humanitarian. Rain Dove also speaks about homelessness and hunger, both of which they have experienced themselves. Prior to their fashion career, they were a wilderness firefighter and also obtained a bachelor’s degree in genetic engineering from the University of California-Berkeley.

Tickets for Rain Dove are $5 for adults and $4 for those under age 18 or over age 62. Tickets will be available at the door the evening of the performance.

Raney Dining Room is in the lower level of Robertson Hall on the southeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri. Please enter by the door on the east side of the building. Parking is available in the lot immediately south of Robertson Hall. The lot is accessible off of Tower Street.
