The Cottey College Department of Music is pleased to host a recital titled Silver and Wood: Baroque Performance Practice on Modern and Period Instruments. The recital will be Friday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m. in the Missouri Recital Hall.
The trio, composed of flautists Dr. Laura Clapper and Dr. John Ross and cellist Carrie Miller, will perform works by Baroque and early classic composers such as Telemann, Locatelli, Hottetere, Anna Bon, and Haydn. Dr. Ross is a visiting assistant professor of music at Cottey.
The Recital Hall is inside the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada.
The concert is free and no tickets are required.
Cottey College Theatre Department presents “The Sweet Science of Bruising”, November 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Auditorium on the campus of Cottey College.
