Annual Community Picnic and Partner Fair Cancelled for 2020

Due to health and safety procedures established for the anticipated return of Cottey College students, the annual Community Picnic and Partner Fair will not be held this year. Although not an easy decision, it was made to best serve the interests of the community, as well as the students, staff, and faculty of Cottey College.

“Our students and parents, as well as our local partners, always looked forward to this opportunity to introduce Nevada to its newest residents,” said Renee Hampton, coordinator of career services and experiential learning at Cottey. “We still want our students and parents to know about all of the services that Nevada offers by creating a resource guide for every new student.”

Cottey will be providing students with a Community Resource Guide to introduce them to the many opportunities available in Nevada and surrounding area. This guide will include information from businesses, organizations and churches in an electronic format, easily accessible to all students.

Area businesses and organizations that would like to be included in the Community Resource Guide should follow the link below, complete the information sheet, and submit. If your business or organization has an ad in either jpeg or pdf format, you may submit that too. Businesses may include a student discount or coupon, if they wish. Churches may include the hours of their services. Internship and volunteer opportunities will be highlighted as well.
