Program Description

The curriculum provides basic education in chemistry with sufficient breadth and flexibility to meet the needs of students who wish to pursue careers in chemistry and related scientific areas, prepare for admission into professional health science programs, or pursue a liberal arts education.

Why Cottey’s Chemistry Minor is Unique.

The courses in this program underscore modern aspects of chemistry with particular attention given to instrumentation, modern concepts and methods, and use of computers. Additionally, courses offered by the chemistry department help fulfill requirements for our B. S. in Health Sciences, our B. A. in Environmental Studies, and our B. A. in Psychology.
