Full ArticleThe Cottey College Department of Music will host an Instrumental Music Concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, in the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts. The performance is free and no tickets are required.
The concert will feature the Cottey College Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble. The Wind Ensemble performance will include “Fanfare for a New Generation” by Dennis Eveland, “Evening Song” by Josef Rheinberger, arr. Shelley Hanson, and more. The Jazz Ensemble will features solos by Cottey College students Rachel Henry, Darby Fowler, McKayla Hines, Abigail Young, and Chloe Bietsch. The Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble are under the direction of Dr. Jackie Lordo and Prof. Gary Johnson.
The Center for the Arts is located on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri.
