Head Cross Country/Track and Field Coach

The head cross country/track and field coach will be responsible for the development, coordination, and administration of a competitive cross country and track program.  This includes, but is not limited to, assisting in the development of the yearly budget for the program, recruiting student-athletes, retention and coaching.  Cottey College is a member of the NAIA and competes in the Association of Independent Institutions (AII) conference.  This is a full-time 12-month position with benefits. Hall Director/Director of Basketball Operations/Assistant Basketball Coach

This position is the primary live-in administrator of a residence hall responsible for all management functions and performs a wide range of coaching and administrative activities for basketball. Candidate will work to provide a diverse group of women a community in which they can live and learn comfortably and develop to their highest potential. Vice President for Administration and Finance

Cottey College, an independent, non-sectarian, liberal arts and sciences college for women located 90 miles south of Kansas City in Nevada, Missouri, seeks a dynamic and experienced Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF) who can build on recent successes and further the College’s mission and vision. The VPAF, a member of the President’s Council, reports to the President of the College, Dr. Jann Weitzel, and works collaboratively with other executives, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

This vice president will provide sound, forward-thinking financial direction to the College, based on established institutional values and strategic planning priorities while serving as a change leader, relationship-builder, and steward of the institution’s human, financial, and physical assets. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience and a record of progressive achievement to the position, as well as the ability to develop and implement strategies that leverage the unique assets and opportunities of the College. Prime candidates will have a master’s degree in business administration or a related field and seven years of progressive experience in higher education management or a related setting.

Director of Human Resources

 Elementary Education

Cottey College, a liberal arts and sciences college for women, invites applications for a fulltime, tenuretrack position in Elementary Education, starting August 2020. The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in Elementary Education, training in literacy development, and five years minimum of PK-4th grade teaching experience. The candidate should demonstrate a strong interest in undergraduate education, teaching, and advising, and a desire to participate in the growth and development of the Elementary Education program at Cottey. Duties will include working with the program coordinator on student field placements and supervision, on building and maintaining relationships with nearby public schools, as well as teaching. College Math Tutor

Cottey College, a leading independent liberal arts and sciences college for women in Nevada, Missouri, invites applications for a part-time professional math tutor to serve two evenings a week in Cottey’s on-campus Learning Center. Duties include one-on-one and small group tutoring in mathematical subjects at a college level for both Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters, averaging five to eight evening hours per week while classes are in session. Candidates must be well versed in College Algebra and Calc I, with Calc II, III, and Stats a plus. Preference will be given to those who hold bachelor’s degrees or above in mathematics or a related field.
