Director of Career Services/Head Golf Coach
Cottey College is seeking an individual to serve as the Director of Career Services and Head Golf Coach. This position is dedicated 0.75 FTE to Career Services and 0.25 FTE to serve as the Head Golf Coach. This is a full-time position. This position requires the ability to work extended hours during certain periods (particularly during Golf Season), which will include evenings and weekends in order to meet objectives.

The Cottey College Office of Institutional Advancement is seeking a candidate with an intimate understanding of Cottey College and solid industry experience in event planning and public relations. We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational and strategic planning skills who can excel in an exceptionally fast-paced environment. This role requires orchestration and hands-on involvement in all cultivation events and activities; management of event committees, event marketing and promotion for both on- and off-campus events. Drivers with Cottey College are hired to drive college-owned vehicles to transport students, staff, and/or college guests for events or trips. As the need for drivers can vary, this is an on-call position with no guarantee of hours.
Trips may include early morning or late night transportation. Typical needs for drivers are for athletic events and transportation to and from Kansas City airport. Occasional overnight trips do occur, typically for athletic tournaments.
Vehicles operated by the driver include a 35-passenger transport bus, 15-passenger mini-bus, 12-passenger van, 7-passenger mini-van, or car. A Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement is required for driving the transport bus. Other vehicles require a Class “E” chauffeur’s license. Drivers are paid on per trip basis of $75.00. If the trip is longer than 6 hours, drivers are paid at $13.00 per hour.
The ideal candidate will possess a clean driving record with no charges or arrests of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) or Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).
