Library Assistant II

Cottey College is seeking a full-time evening shift library assistant beginning June 1, 2019.  The position will oversee library material acquisitions duties, statistics/data collection, and general circulation desk duties.  High school diploma or GED and 2 years’ previous library or general office experience required.  Excellent verbal/written communication skills, ability to work with the public, and knowledge of Microsoft Office products essential. Library Assistant

Cottey College is seeking a half-time library assistant beginning June 17, 2019. High school diploma or GED required. Two years previous library experience or general office experience. Some college course credits preferred. The position will oversee Circulation Desk duties and Interlibrary Loan services. Supervisory experience a plus. Director of Physical Plant

Cottey College invites applications for the position of director for its physical plant. This position provides leadership in the areas of maintenance, housekeeping, safety, security, campus emergency preparedness, renovations, construction, energy conservation programs, preventive maintenance, budgets, and contracts.

This position is responsible for the strategic planning of the campus facilities to ensure they continue to align with the College’s mission, Master Plan, Deferred Maintenance Management Plan, and long-term financial plan and budgets.

Now in its 135th year, Cottey College is a liberal arts college for women located in southwest Missouri that awards baccalaureate and associate degrees. The College is strong financially with an endowment over $100 million, no debt, and boasts of its beautiful facilities and campus.
Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, facilities management or related field, 5 years’ experience as a director/associate director role on a campus of higher education or similar facility. Head Athletic Trainer/Strength & Conditioning Coach

Under general supervision of the Athletic Director, the position of Head Athletic Trainer/Strength and Conditioning Coach is a full-time, plus benefits, 10 month position. The successful candidate will develop, coordinate and administer a comprehensive athletic training program as well as an individual, general and team strength and conditioning programs for the athletic department. Criminology

Cottey College, a leading independent liberal arts college for women, seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Criminology, starting August 2019. Applicants should have a graduate degree (PhD preferred but ABD considered) in criminology or sociology with a specialization in criminology and experience in teaching courses in criminology and sociology. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in undergraduate education, teaching and advising, and a desire to coordinate the Criminology program at Cottey. Teaching load is four courses per semester, and faculty members are expected to assist with recruitment efforts at Cottey. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. College Math Tutor

Cottey College, a leading independent liberal arts and sciences college for women in Nevada, Missouri, invites applications for a part-time professional math tutor to serve two evenings a week in Cottey’s on-campus Learning Center. Duties include one-on-one and small group tutoring in mathematical subjects at a college level for both Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 semesters, averaging five to eight evening hours per week while classes are in session. Candidates must be well versed in College Algebra and Calc I, with Calc II, III, and Stats a plus. Preference will be given to those who hold bachelor’s degrees or above in mathematics or a related field.
