Date Posted: October 23, 2017 Author: Steve Reed

Spoken word artist Kyla Lacey will perform at Cottey College on Wednesday, November 1, at 8 p.m. in Raney Dining Room.

Kyla Lacey is a spoken word artist who hails from the sunshine state, which goes along perfectly with her personality. She’s been nominated for and won numerous college performance awards and was also a finalist in the largest regional poetry slam in the country in 2012. Her poetry is based off of her real life experiences and she enjoys telling her story of triumphing over tragedy. She will make you laugh, cry, and feel utterly inspired.

Tickets for Kyla Lacey are $5 for adults and $4 for those under age 18 or over age 62. Tickets will be available at the door the evening of the performance.

Raney Dining Room is in the lower level of Robertson Hall on the southeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri. Parking is available in the lot immediately south of Robertson Hall, which is accessible from Tower Street.
