Wind Ensemble to Perform on April 27

Cottey instrumental music students will perform a concert on Saturday, April 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts. The concert is free and no tickets are required.

This band concert will feature the Cottey Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Jackie Lordo and Prof. Gary Johnson. Selections include traditional concert band pieces “American Salute” by Morton Gould and the “March” from First Suite in Eb by Gustav Holst, as well as a featured solo performance by Dr. Amanda Cook. Dr. Cook has a Doctor of Music degree in Clarinet Performance from Indiana University and will be performing the “Concertino” by Carl Maria von Weber.

The Center for the Arts is on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri.
