Comedian D.J. Demers to Perform on January 23

Comedian D.J. Demers will perform on Thursday, January 23, at 8 p.m. in Raney Dining Room on the Cottey College campus.

D.J. Demers is an award-winning stand-up comedian who appeared on season 11 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent. He performed stand-up on Conan twice and was the winner of the 2014 Homegrown Comics Competition at the prestigious Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. Demers was also a featured performer at Toront’s JFL42 comedy festival in 2014, the winner of the 2013 Toronto Comedy Brawl, a finalist in NBC’s StandUp for Diversity and Best Breakout Artist at the 2015 Canadian Comedy Awards. In June of 2019, he released his second album, Uninterpreted, on all major streaming platforms. He also wears hearing aids.

Tickets for D.J. Demers are $5 for adults and $4 for those under age 18 or over age 62. Tickets will be available at the door the evening of the performance.

Raney Dining Room is in the lower level of Robertson Hall on the southeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri. Parking is available in the lot immediately south of Robertson, which is accessible off of Tower Street.
