Controlled by men and constrained by corsets, each finds an unexpected freedom in the boxing ring. As their lives begin to intertwine, their journey takes us through grand drawing rooms, bustling theatres and rowdy Southwark pubs.
The play deals with topics of feminism, domestic violence, suicide, abortion and the inequality of women and is not suggested for small children, parental guidance is suggested.
This play is entered in the American College Theater Festival. Proceeds from ticket sales will help with costs to take students to the regional festival in Des Moines, Iowa in January of next year. A silent auction will be available for production banners which will also help to fund the expenses of the play festival.
