Join us as we visit Athens, Greece and experience many of the sights and sounds Cottey students encounter on their week abroad! Enjoy 7 days and 6 nights learning about the rich history of Athens and exploring the mediterranean landscape!

Itinerary
DAY 1, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28: OVERNIGHT FLIGHT
Depart from the USA.
DAY 2, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29: ATHENS
Arrive in Athens, meet your ACIS Tour Manager and begin to explore this enchanting, ancient city. Perhaps stop for a plate of honey-soaked, cinnamon-spiced loukoumades while you stroll through the winding streets of this cradle of civilization. Please note: Public transport is included for the week.
DAY 3, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30: ATHENS
Greet the day with a guided sightseeing tour that reveals the glories of ancient Greece. Ascend to the top of the Acropolis and visit the iconic Parthenon. Then view the Agora, followed by a stroll through the Acropolis Museum, a modern architectural jewel. The afternoon is free to explore more of Athens at your own pace and take snapshots from atop Mount Lycabettus. Later enjoy a Greek cultural evening in a traditional village setting. Taste freshly pressed olive oil, watch a tzatziki making demonstration, dine on authentic taverna cuisine and feast your eyes and ears on professional dancers moving to the traditional music. An expert also teaches you the steps of traditional Greek dances so that you can join in the fun!
DAY 4, WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1: ATHENS

DAY 5, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 2: ATHENS

DAY 6, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3: ATHENS

DAY 7, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4: ATHENS
Today a local expert takes you on a guided tour of Delphi, where ancient Greeks asked for counsel from its fabled oracle. Visit the Temple of Apollo and the Delphi Archaeological Museum, featuring artifacts unearthed during local excavations. Then return to Athens to enjoy a final night abroad in this beautiful country. Tonight, join our group for a special farewell dinner.
DAY 8, SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5: DEPARTURE
Depart for the USA.
Excursion information will be provided closer to departure.

- All final payments are due by April 1, 2025.

- Round-trip flights or priced without flights.
- Public transport pass for the duration of the trip as well as local buses for airport transfers and the city sightseeing tour.
- Double room accommodations in 3 star centrally located hotels.
- All activities mentioned in the itinerary.
- Full-time bilingual Tour Manager to manage travel logistics and provide educational commentary.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, but the participant would have to fill out the alternate return form and return it PRIOR to 90 days. They will have to pay the alternate return fee which will be $200* for 2025 trips and there may be additional costs if the departing city is significantly more or if they return on a weekend etc.
*This amount is an ACIS fee and is subject to change.
Seats are booked in Economy. Passengers can request upgrades. In order to request an upgrade, the passenger will email accounts@acis.com with their name, and trip id, and will need to be very specific if they want first class, business, premium, or just main cabin extra. It is not a guarantee that it will be available on the flight, and won’t be confirmed until flights are all locked in and confirmed, but usually they able to be accommodated. The additional charge will be added to the passenger’s account.
Registration will close on February 1, 2025 or when the trip is full.
