Jordan Johnson, Ph.D.

Dr. Johnson is Assistant Professor of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Cottey College where she teaches Intro to WGS, Intro to LGBT Studies, Feminist Theories, and the Senior Capstone Seminar in addition to special topics courses at the intersection of feminist science studies, queer ecology, and anticolonial theory.

Dr. Johnson holds a BA in feminist studies, English, and Spanish from Southwestern University and a PhD in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies with a concentration in environmental health from Emory University.

She draws on her interdisciplinary training to support students in making robust connections between Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and their interests within and beyond the academy. Her work can be found in Frontiers: A Journal of Women StudiesAmerican QuarterlyThe Journal of Literary and Cultural Disability Studies, and The Journal of Posthumanism.
