Summer Scholars
The Summer Scholars Program is an experiential learning program designed to engage Cottey students in academic inquiry, leadership, and community impact. This intentional integration of scholarship and service empowers Cottey students to grow as problem solvers and compassionate leaders committed to making a lasting impact on their communities and careers.
Each program begins on June 1 and ends on July 31.
All Scholars will receive a $4000 stipend for their commitment (320 hours) and shared campus housing.

Impact Scholars
IMPACT Scholars drive real-world change by dedicating two summer months to a Nevada community nonprofit agency.
The internship culminates in a high-impact project: Scholars will research, write, and submit a grant proposal for their partner, directly contributing to the agency’s mission with the goal of securing vital community funding.
STEM Scholars
STEM Scholars will complete an undergraduate research project under the guidance of current Cottey STEM faculty.
Scholars will engage in hands-on laboratory research, working closely with faculty mentors to develop and refine their research skills.
Serenbetz Scholars
Serenbetz Scholars will complete an internship with nonprofit partner agencies in Chicago, Illinois.
This program provides the learning and hands- on experiences it takes to thrive as a committed, competent, and effective leader within the nonprofit community.
Note: In addition to the $4,000 stipend, Serenbetz Scholars will also receive a $500 travel stipend, housing at Loyola University, and an unlimited Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) card.
