What Can I Do With A Major In Art?

Art majors learn to create images, objects, and environments using a variety of techniques and media. Students develop skills in problem-solving and in the understanding of the visual arts. Art majors usually begin with an introductory design course and then choose a medium for focused study. Employment in this field is very competitive. However, art majors find a career opportunities in advertising, architecture, art scholarship, art education, art history, illustration, interior design, crafts, jewelry, graphic design, photography, and studio art.
