Full ArticleCottey College is pleased to announce the hiring of T.J. Tubbs as the director of physical plant and security. Tubbs replaces Neal Swarnes who retired last month.
“We’re very pleased to have T.J.,” said Amy Ruetten, vice president for administration and finance. “We knew it would be a challenge to replace Neal Swarnes, but T.J. has all the skills and experience needed to step in and make this a seamless transition.”
Tubbs hails from Texarkana, Arkansas, where he was the physical plant director at University of Arkansas Community College. He holds a Master of Science in Operation Management and is working towards a doctorate in organizational leadership.
“It is an extraordinary honor to be part of the Cottey family and to contribute to the leadership of the Physical Plant team,” said Tubbs. “My goal is to add to the legacy of excellence that has defined Cottey for so long.”
Tubbs’ first day was July 15.
