Gregory Miller, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry
Greg received his undergraduate degrees in chemistry and biology in Louisiana, and his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Alabama. He began his career at a small university in beautiful Ashland, Oregon, and then taught at an even smaller college in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida.

For Cottey, Greg can teach general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry and various topics in biology including general biology, nutrition, genetics, and forensic biology. He will also serve as Cottey’s dedicated pre-medical, pre-dental, and pre-physician’s assistant advisor, a role he enjoyed for many years at previous institutions.
His research projects involve determining the nutritional content of foods as a function of farming practices, the timed degradation of medicinal compounds as a function of storage conditions, and the isolation and characterization of plant secondary metabolites including flavor and scent compounds in wine and spirits.
