Full ArticleThe Cottey College Departments of Music and Dance will each host a concert. Both performances are free and no tickets are required.
The Cottey College Wind Ensemble will present a concert on Sunday, December 3, at 3 p.m., in the Auditorium of the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts. Cottey students, faculty and community members will perform music from standard marches to holiday favorites. Highlights include Big Four March by Karl King, Ave Maria by Anton Bruckner, and Herald the Holidays by Robert Smith. The Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Jackie Lordo and Prof. Gary Johnson.
The Department of Dance will present an Informal Dance Concert on Tuesday, December 5, at 8 p.m. in the Auditorium. The dance performance will feature students in all the Cottey dance classes as well as student choreography pieces.
The Center for the Arts is located on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri.
