Cottey College is pleased to announce the promotion of T.J. Tubbs to vice president of administration and finance. He is currently the associate vice president for facilities and safety. Tubbs will assume his new position on June 1.
“We are so pleased to have TJ as our new vice president,” said Dr. Jann Weitzel, President of the College. “TJ has done an excellent job with the physical plant and has all of the qualities we wanted in the VPAF position. He has been serving as the co-interim vice president for the last four months and has been excellent in that position.”
“I am honored and thrilled to serve in such a meaningful role at Cottey,” said Tubbs. “It is rare to find such a talented and committed group of people who strive daily to fulfill the mission of the institution. I look forward to the challenges of this position and working with my colleagues to achieve the goals of the College.”
Tubbs originally hails from Texarkana, Arkansas, where he was the physical plant director at University of Arkansas Community College. He holds a Master of Science in Operation Management and is completing his work towards a doctorate in organizational leadership and will be enrolling in the Harvard Principles of Finance Graduate Certificate program.
