Alumnae Awards
ALUMNAE AWARDS
The CCAA has been presenting awards to alumnae for over half a century. The CCAA Board takes the opportunity during Founder’s Day Weekend each year to recognize deserving alumnae and friends of the College with awards in five categories:
Distinguished Alumna
Instituted in 1955, this award is presented to Cottey College alumnae whose accomplishments in professional or human services have brought distinction to the name of Cottey College.
Distinguished Alumna recipients
Outstanding Young Alumna
Instituted in 1985, this award is presented to alumnae who graduated less than 15 years ago, and who have achieved recognition in a career, displayed exemplary community service or offered significant service to the College.
Outstanding Young Alumna recipients
Alumna Service
Instituted in 1977, this award is presented to alumnae who have contributed significant service and dedication to the College and/or the Cottey College Alumnae Association.
Honorary Alumna
Instituted in 1957, this award is presented to those who are not Cottey alumnae, but who have contributed significant service to the College and its alumnae over a period of time.
Friend of the College
Instituted in 1979, this honor is presented to non-alumnae individuals who have contributed specific and meritorious service toward the advancement of the College and/or the Cottey College Alumnae Association.
