Christa Kieffer, PH.D.

Dr. Kieffer a is scholar of twentieth-century United States history, particularly race and racism in American politics. Her current book project focuses on the role of race in the construction of modern conservatism by examining the career of A. B. “Happy” Chandler.
She teaches courses on the civil rights movement, modern U.S. political history, American sports history, American women’s history, and equality movements in the United States.
