Claire Mills, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Philosophy
M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy, from the University of Georgia.
Graduate Degree in Environmental Ethics, from the University of Georgia.
B.A. in Philosophy and Mathematics, from Kalamazoo College, in MI.
Dr. Claire Mills is the philosophy professor at Cottey College, teaching foundational classes in ethics and logic, as well as more advanced theory courses. Dr. Mills has added a philosophy minor to the degree options at Cottey, and has introduced applied courses in intersectional topics like health medicine and sports.
Her research interests are in the areas of political philosophy, writing pedagogy, and animal and environmental ethics. In her spare time she enjoys playing roller derby in nearby Kansas City, as captain of the Kansas City Roller Warriors.
