Orientation
Orientation is an event for first-year students that spans several days before classes begin, giving new students an opportunity to bond with their incoming class and settle into life on campus.
Orientation 2026 check in will be Saturday, August 8, from 9 am to 1 pm.

Visit Campus!

How to Apply for Financial Aid
FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required to give you an official financial aid offer. You’ll complete it on the federal student aid website.
Academic Program Info
Cottey offers a strong, personalized academic experience. You’ll find small classes, professors who care, and coursework that allows you to immerse yourself in your chosen field.

- It provides funding for summer internships (cost of living), educational trips, grants for research, and leadership resources.
Housing
Apply for Housing
To apply for housing, you must first deposit. Then, you may use the MyCottey button below, log in, navigate to the ‘Orientation’ tab, complete the Housing Addendum, and you will be taken to the housing form. Complete that form.
- There are no deadlines for this form, but those completed by 3/1 they get their assignment by 3/15.
- Applications completed from March 2 to June 1 will have their assignment by 6/15.
Campus Living Info
Instead of individual rooms, our residence halls have suites that house 8-15 students, with a living room, kitchen, single and double rooms, and a large bathroom. This gives students access to supportive peers, study partners, and an easy way to make friends and integrate into campus life.
- Located in the Center for Campus Life, the Chellie Club serves food, snacks, drinks, and delicious shakes.

Student Experience/Campus Life
The campus community at Cottey is rich with traditions and opportunities to participate. Whether you want to start your own club, join an existing organization, or lean into generational traditions, this is an easy place to get involved.
Privacy Permissions for Parents
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 is a federal law that prevents anyone, even parents, from viewing a student’s information without consent.
Students may allow parents to view their records by using the button below, scrolling to the bottom of the page, locating the ‘FERPA Permissions’ section, and tapping the ‘Define Permissions’ area. From this page, you can:
- Grant permissions to view academic information, including your schedule and unofficial transcript.
- Grant permissions to view financial information, including financial aid, financial documents, and account balances.
- Grant permissions to view housing information.
- Set the password for the accounts you are giving access to.
Portals for Students
Use the portals below to complete tasks such as depositing, accepting financial aid awards, and applying for scholarships.

Cottey Student Outcomes
Cottey students graduate with the skills and confidence they need to succeed! Whether their career path leads to the job market or to graduate school, our alumnae are empowered and ready to take on the challenge.
ZeeMee
ZeeMee is an online community that connects incoming Cottey students with one another, current students, and admissions staff members. It is a laid-back environment where new students get to know each other.
ZeeMee is also a great way to get acquainted with your new roommate if you’ve received your housing assignment, or start your new college journey with friends before you even move in!
